Young walker not very open

I got this younger walker female she is one year old and she isn't open on track like my previous hounds were. She is game driven and she will bark hard on a coon hide drag if i throw it aroubd and she will bark some on squirrels when she trees them if I coach her. Back this week we had a bobcat cross out in front of us while on walk. I turned her loose and she beelined to cat as it was running, and the cat I think went in a nearby bluff. But she trailed and backtracked but would never bark. Any suggests? Would hunting her with other hounds help? Thanks for the help.
