New to lion hunting

So I live on a big ranch in west Texas and want to start lion hunting. I was hoping to get 2 good finished dogs in the near future. Where I live is rough country, big deep canyons and steep rim country. A lot of pinion pines and rocky bluffs. Also a decent amount of caves. I have had some game cameras out for a little while and no pictures of lions yet. I know they are here. My question is would 2 good dogs be enough for this dry ground hunting? What are some good spot to start getting pictures of lions, ridges or canyons or on the rims? And I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good dry ground hounds. Really just looking for any advice on where and how to start?

I'm no expert, but I think your best bet to get some trail camera pictures is to find a scrape line or a kill. I like to set cameras in dry creek beds, below rock walls, or just on game trails. Good luck!

Where are you located? I hunt out there from time to time. With the rains we have had this year, trailing conditions are much better than normal.
Adios,
Gary

That's great country and with a little moisture should be good hunting. I will PM you.
