dogs let you know when game is coming

just wanted to ask if anyone has head of this a dog that would set by the hunter and who job was letting the hunter know when game was coming the only thing i have find about this was a guy form i think the U.K. that had one like that for deer hunting if anyone knows about this and how you would get one to work like that i could use any info because a lot of the hunting we do now is hunting over bait or game calling

A lab or collie type dog. Some cur dogs. Either way I think in the end your going to need far more intelligence and willingness to please then you'll find easily in the hound or bully breeds

Check out decoy dogs used to lure in coyotes. I think they do what you want but then the predator hunter would send them to lure the coyote in range.

Get you a rat terrier. The ones I have had will alert you if anything is comming, from grass hopper to elephant. Unbelievable awareness.
