Hey I was wondering if anyone has got on any cats yet this year, I like to hear all of your guys stories and just interested if anyone got on any dry ground lions yet???

I was just wondering the same thing, was wondering in particular if anyone in WY on these forums has done any good. I checked the stats last week and seen a few had been taken.

Idaho had a area open on the tenth . I went and hunted all day running roads in pickup and atv and found tons of deer very few elk and a couple coyote . no bobcat or lion tracks to be found darn it .

This weekend,guys first cat

Been out twice last week on dry ground. Had some cold trailing until sunny side of the hill in the later morning. Still had a blast walking some beautiful country. Need some overcast colder days to seal the deal.

We got this nice Tom on 12-14-16 in the Monroe Utah unit. Trailed him for three days before we could close the deal.

The girlfriend first tom, we got on 12-18-16. a short hunt 2 1/2hrs in and out.

I got to hunt 4 days in the last week and a half and have walked into three lion trees and a bobcat bayup. Nothing big but alot of fun and the dogs are sore. A ton of cold trailing.

We took a cat a couple weeks ago with my neighbor's dogs near Elko, NV. Chase lasted about an hour, maybe a little longer. Some guys will criticize and say he was too small to harvest, but he was my first and has now got me hooked on lions and hounds. 123 lbs, aged at 3 years old. Healthy cat.
