I have a dog that I have a six generation pedigree on It I think. he's UKC registered. He has Walker's Pocahontas Gator 1 and 2 in his pedigree On dams side-several times, probably product of line breeding. He is by far the prettiest plot I have. I cant figure out who cascade blood I have in the dog. He is more silent than some of my other plots.. Not as long ranged and doesn't have as much nose... I could breed more nose into them.. With my other dogs. He has Cascade- Big Timber, Casey, Willy, Big Boss, Skipper, Tootsie, Twister, Easy Money, Co'Chise, Big Trouble.
He has Pocahontas- Hank, Mumbles and the Gator 1 AND 2 dogs in his background...
Im trying to find out what is the Cascade blood?I know what the POCAHONTAS blood is.--its very good.

This is him, he tends to be more hushed mouth. He doesn't like just running, he likes to bay.. He doesn't have as much bottom as some of other hounds, not as MUCH of a nose, I use him to catch hogs quick --in competions or put him on a hard running pig once the harder running ones slow down a bit,--- hes a good stop dog. Doesn't range out as far as I would like just hunting to jump a pig but, he wont just sit under you, he was our lead dog this past winter.. Raised a litter of pups off of him and our old finished gyp and theyre more quite on track like him.. So if you want to get some more hushed mouth plots heres your chance.. get with me and we could probably work something out.

The cascade is really hard to find . Rodney Burris in Tennessee has some . they tend to be hotter nosed dogs with lots of grit . I personally foot card for Pocahontas dogs because I have not had much luck with them same with weems . but I think Its who I got them from .

I have some cascade breeding in some of my dogs they are medium nosed and bear baying fools . I am getting two almost pure cascade pups from Rodney next spring . if you want cold nosed I would look into Bill hicks plott dogs they have great noses . I have a couple and have hunted with some others and really like them . I am also impressed with the bluff creek plott dogs . another plott breed if you can find it is the old star mtn stuff . that's my input on that I am sure there are more but this is what I know .

I have sizzling heat in my brood gyp, I got her a few years ago. She was a heck of a hog dog back in the day, she is not one of them dogs some people call a brood bitch. She would lead a pack, run all day easy, she was a lil slower than some really fast ones than some I have seen. She still gets hunted when we go to places the dogs need to stay in boundaries, she is a lil slower now than she was in old age and arthritis. I have a few good dogs, I got a sure nuff cold nosed gyp that's finished.. Shes the kinda hound u see a track put her on it and she will find him. I got a few non registered dogs that I don't know what theyre out of and theyre my best ones-- plots. But all my other plots are wide open, every time foot hits ground kinda hounds... I knew I had something rare.. He can put the brakes on one.. Some of our hogs may run 12-15 miles and in the summertime I like keepin a fresh dog with em.. He is a good dog... I know of bayou Cajun, Pocahontas, and weems blood.. But I have never heard of the lines you are talkin about I will have to check it out... I use hounds down here because hogs are hard to find, and if you happen to find em, u need a dog that can stay with em till the end, and has grit to make one stop... That's why I like plots. This dog is pretty gritty, but nowhere near suicidal... Hes not my favorite, but hes good enough to feed.. Im the kinda guy who likes to hear a race, and catch the game..

I wouldn't ever count out the Pocahontas blood for not being any good.. I like it @Justahunter. It is very good blood.. I believe u got the wrong ones, but I don't know the breeder u might have got them from.. I know when I am looking into plots Pocahontas is something I like it in my dogs, some may not be the prettyest but they get the job done... Maybe its just me, but it seems like all my top dog aren't registered.. I got 4 good ones.. I am gone probably breed my own line.. And know what I have a lil better.. Each line has qualities and traits that differ in your lines of plot hounds.. Some breed for nose, some for bottom, some for speed, some for grit... I know the bayou Cajun dogs I have seen/had, were some of the grittiest hounds I have seen--- by far... They will pull the hair off of one... ---- Bottom line- there is dogs good and bad in every line in every breed... Just finding a good one is easier in some lines. Heck I have sizzling heat in my best old gyp and she was a GOOD hog dog, and she throws GOOD pups- with certain males...
