Those are some good looking pups. That blanket back one looks the way I like but, I am not color blind. If they do what I need them to, I don't care if they are pink with green polka dots. Whats the age on those pups?

Julio they are between 12-13 weeks. That black will turn more to red as she ages, prob have a small black blanket when she finishes growing, Dan some of the smartest pups I've raised yet, that spotted gypsy like is a little keener than the others right now

Good looking pups Perk.
The one in the last pic facing the camera reminds me of one my dad's first cousin had, best bobcat dog I ever saw in action. He has been dead for 36 years but I can still see and hear him when I see a dog that looks like him.
I like the black back one too, she would look better in my pack.

Scrubb, the little gyp prob would look good in your pack, everyone thinks she would look good in their pack lol. Unfortunately for you her papers prob wouldn't suit, don't think the chase or the horn would honor the notebook paper pedigree I have on her. The white male you said reminded you of an old dog should have an excellent big loud squalling pulling type voice. It's a trait that runs in his bloodline, you know the kind that makes it hard to deny him, whether he is in the right or wrong, if he doesn't I'll be surprised

The horn would IF they are actually out of former dogs that were registered. You'd have to go back through though and pay for all the litter registries and then register each individual dog. If it weren't way back it wouldn't be a problem at all. If you're talkin5 generations or something then heck no it'd be a pain in the arse and who really cares anyhow.

Dan, I'd say there are dogs in the pedigree that have little to zero papered dogs in background since the 70s or before. Don't need a paper on them anyways, I don't sell pups, just give them to buddies, I don't field trial, I don't sell grown dogs, I give them away, cull them, or they retire here at the kennel, as long as I know the breeding I'm good, got a buddy or two who I generally keep better track of their dogs backgrounds than they do, of course we use a lot of the same stock so it behooves me to know.

Nice looking pups. Does the dirt kennel cause pad problems or do you hunt on similar dirt?

Pegleg it's just dirty looking crush and run gravel dust, pen prob have 4-5 inches deep of gravel dust. Looks like dirt bc pups make a mess, they dig and then the dirt mixes in with the crush and run dust. Never really have feet problems, dogs have good pads, stand up on their feet good, try to hunt around 150 days a yr even while working full time, so feet stay pretty tough.

Feet are important. I have had a bad year in that dept. But it's mostly been big cuts or thorn punctures and I don't see away around those

Tmalone, no they are not related to the clay hounds, although I am blessed to have several clay bred dogs in my pen. These hounds are out of local grade Fox dogs that been hunted this area for a long time.
