What would you guys recommend thats good reading mainly concentrating on big game and not as much about coon. It could be any type whether its just good stories or could be a informational and instructional type book. I looked through the book section on this site and there is just too many to look through and know whats what.

Thanks in advance!

I have not heard of it till you posted it. So it seems he hunted grizzly bear with hounds on horseback in New Mexico. That is pretty cool.

It is a very good book and if you read it a few times you can surely pick up some good points on training hounds as well as his method of breaking horses that were well ahead his time.

Check out High Lonesome Books, out of Silver City, New Mexico. They have a large selection of good hound hunting books and they are all good. It doesn't really matter which ones you get first, because you will soon start going through all of them. Give Dutch a call and tell him your interests and he'll hook you up.
