I hate to break it to you, but it doesn't matter who is voted into office. As long as someone else makes rules for how you live your life, especially any sort of politician, you are screwed

Most politicians are not outdoorsmen. If you talk to them they will tell you they vote the way your state wildlife and Fishries agencies recomend. Most WF people are not outdoorsmen and know very little about it. They studied wildlife and fish in collage and if you talk to them one on one, they very seldom agree with each other. Over the last 20 yrs, in the southeast US, deer has ruled when it comes to game laws. Deer (stuff) that people buy has gone through the roof. Deer hunting land that was open hunting 30 yrs ago is now costing 1500-2000 yr for each member of the club. Deer hunting is very competitive and causing a lot of controversy inside the deer hunting ccommunity and is spilling over into other type hunting. With this there is a lot of laws being implemented unnecessarily that effect Hunter other than deer hunters.focus on State Game And Fish along with educating yourself on the background of the candidate and vote. There a lot of unusual people with unusual openions buying hunting licenses these days.

Vote all democrats out of office. We need a red wave to help Trump drain the swamp.

Mark you are a 100% right!!!! And to the people who say all politicians are liars and you are screwed regardless yes there is some truth to that but there is definitely different levels of screwed for example CA laws vs AZ laws for both hunting and guns. Nothing is absolute and like Mark I am not going to tell anyone how to vote but I will say this you will have a far better chance of keeping your guns and in most cases your hunting rights if you vote Republican. Do your research and vote for who and what you feel is best for you, but no matter what get out and vote.

I am going to be a little more blunt. If you vote for a democrat for any office, please pack your bags and move to Venezuela or any other socialist country of your choosing.

Attitudes like that are what made California. Your votes do count and it absolutely does matter who you vote for. If you don't vote, don't bitch about the laws that screw you down the road.

I think if you look up all the legislation that has been proposed or passed to stop hunting and your right to own a gun you will see a "D" behind the polititions name and state that sponsored it.

Good job, Mark. November election will shape the future for many years. It's important to keep those anti-hunting, anti-gun, and anti American, Democrats out of the decisions that harm hunters and gun owners.
Not only is important we vote, do what Mark has done by spreading the word. Any hunter, trapper and gun owner, who votes Democrat in November election, should have their brain examine.

I'm not saying there isn't a lesser eavil, and that is what you should vote for. But a politician is a politician. And anyone who thinks our country isn't changing and hunting isn't going to become a past time needs to look at history and other longer established countries. All a person needs to do is think a little, 500 years really isn't that long. And 500 years ago there wasn't hardly a white person in America. Now look at it. I'm not saying I won't fight for the ability to hunt my dogs, and I will hunt them as much as I can for as long as I can. But there are more and more people everywhere and things are changing. Even now there are very few people that can make a living off of hunting their hounds. And there is no one left in America that can live where they want and hunt what they want anytime they want, and do it legally. Those days are long gone

I agree with this statement 1000%, especially here in Louisiana, our state created a “Feral Hog Advisory Management Task Force”, I was appointed by the former secretary of wild life and fisheries to be on this task force on behalf of the Hog dog hunters, i was elected vice chairmen of it, it didn’t take me long to realize how much ignorance plays a part in making out state game laws, as far as our state public lands are concerned they are nothing more than a tax payer funded state run science project, I had our head state wildlife biologist look me right in the eye along with a room full of people and admit that EVERY single proposal I presented about dog hunting regulations and seasons on our state lands actually made great sense and were good alternatives but they still “couldn’t “ agree with allowing dog hunting...

Goose. I believe any new hunting laws thart are considered in Louisiana do not have a chance if it may remotely interfere with deer hunting. Last year after our deer season was over ( I thought) I had some young dogs in the woods trying to run a fox. A young warden stopped me afer daylight and wanted to know what I was hunting. I told him fox. He told me I was in violation of a new law that stated no fox hunting after daylight during a special bow season that had been installed that year in our area. I told him it wasn't in the pamphlet and he said it was a new season posted on the Internet. He had to call his supervisor to come give him some advise. Nice young officer but had no idea what fox hunting was. He asked how I cooked them and I explained what fox hunting was. He didn't believe that anything like that really happened. Nobody would go listen to dogs run a fox. I'm 77 and have watched the hunting I have always known come and go without realizing it. I doubt if there will ever be any game law passed in favor of ( dog chase) ever again in Louisiana. Better get as much in as you can, it's fading fast.
