Hey bigdog,whats the breeding on your kemmers? tell me all about'em - where you got'em etc.
Are they just pure kemmer,or have they been refined through several generations for big game? Got any online pedigree links or other info,on their breeding? I was just curious - might want me one - one of these days.I like the size of your dogs.The breed standard says between 40 and 60 pounds but its hard to find Mtn curs around here that are over 45pounds.

mtn curhunter-.... Are you talking to bigdog or Bdog? anyway, the Kemmers I run are Stryker bred , bred to be Cold Nosed gritty Big Game Dogs. and I have two males here that are probably right around 60 lbs one might be a little over that and they're not fat.

If your dogs are stryker bred then why do you call them kemmers?
Why don't you just call them mtn curs that are stryker bred? Not trying to ruffle your feathers I was just wondering.Did they come from kemmer origanally or something? My dogs have kemmer way back in the ped but I call them jukebox bred because thats what they have up front.
Tell me more about this stryker line! I'm interested.Are there any stryker bred dogs being used in the midwest? If so on what game? Have you ever hunted yours on coon?

The term Stryker is refering to dogs that are decendants of Stryker within the Kemmer breed, they are Kemmer dogs. So calling them Stryker bred Kemmers seems totally logical to me... whatever float your boat I tho I guess is fine. I don't know of any in the midwest , I know of a couple on the east coast.

Well I'm gonna give you my opinion about that and I don't want you to take it the wrong way or get mad at me.Opinions are like elbows everyone has a couple.

To me your dogs are no longer kemmers.Like I asked bdog - did he get his dogs from kemmer or have they been bred for several generations for specific traits under a different kennel name?
Your dogs may have started from kemmer stock but after they have been bred for the "stryker'' traits they are now strykers. lol
And kemmers are not a breed the dogs are still Mtn curs (if kept pure) kemmers are just a strain of Mtn curs. Same as stryker Mtn Curs.

On another note,I like what I hear about these stryker dogs I think its interesting and would like to look into them more!I just wonder how they would do around here.I'm guessing they would do pretty good on coons, not sure about squirrels though.

Trying to follow your thought process wouldn't they be Fry Curs? Kemmer is the name of the breeder not one dog.
