American Leopard Curs that is. Went bear hunting in northern CA this weekend. Horrible weather. Lots of fun and one bear race that lasted about an hour. Probably came accross 10-12 bear tracks but the heavy rain from the past three days left very little scent. Lots of fun but, no bears put up on this trip. The return trip was an absolute nightmare. 14 hours straight of heavy heavy rain and high winds made for an extremely loooong trip home. Got home at 0410 in the morning and got up and went to work at 0700. I'm getting too old for those stunts anymore.

The closest dog is only 17 months, Cozy, and she has been on a BUNCH of coons, I think she is going to be something special, we'll see:

No no most of the roads are much nicer then those, don't you know CA has such high taxes they have perfect roads, heck most of the time you tree the bears next to paved roads.

Hey Fred; Hope you and Randy had a good time although no bears, all that rain must have been last week, I didn't hunt but had to hike in and get a young dog that didn't come thru the bluffs after a tree a few days earlier. Have a good1, Mike
