Nice pictures 8). If my Stike Dog would start doing his job, maybe I could get some pictures. So far this training season, one bear in the tree :) , no picture because bear bailed, I had only one dog on tree.
Last weekend, one face full of quills  . I should have taken pictures of that, just to remind Junior of how foolish he was.

This is what I saw today. :) Seven hens with chicks. I think most of them were Spruce Grouse, but I could be wrong. One doe. Three Moose, but pictures didn't come out. It was just a little to dark for my camera. I also had the good luck on the way home to see a Porcupine in the road. Junior had not got the hint after last weekends adventure with a Porcupine, but he MAY understand now. Noone over our way had any luck that I know of today.

Well I stand corrected. I have been sent a picture of a Spruce Grouse, and I did not see one. ALL the hens I saw were Ruffed Grouse.

Nice, looks like you are off to a good start this year. :) I will not be doing much running until corn season, or when choke cherries ripen, I guess. It seems like I am spending a lot more money this year, and getting less running. I have learned how valuable a good strike hound is.
