Yeah Ike we are in the same boat. Weatherman forcasts 2-4 inches and all we get is wind! Time to fire the weatherman! They are calling for snow this morning and I can't see a cloud in the sky!

Oh well, it's just the same. I don't mind anyway. A lot of the hound guys around here don't go out until it snows so thats just more county for me to hunt alone and not work my butt off to do it!

Well BGH, I hope the snow gods and weather man was better to you than they were to me ha......

I woke up to an inch or so of snow and loaded hounds, drove out of the snow pretty quick and that's the way that went. I did, however, get my butt handed to me by a big bobcat in a skiff of snow this morning.

And he had a nice track! I put three dogs on him and he crossed the road four or five times after that, so I put one more in about the three or four mile mark. They jumped him in a rock pile and he took them from one rock pile to the next until he finally put the Houdini on the hounds and ol' ike and his dogs tucked their tails between their legs and went to the truck.......

(that story was for the guys who say some of us never tell about our failures)

keep'em treed,
ike

LOL BGH........It snowed here this afternoon and there wasn't enough to cover the ground where I was.....go figure? I kinda thought you guys were milking the clouds and squeezing everything out before it gets here.....but maybe it's those guys from Idaho and Wyoming doing it??????

Better luck with the next storm,
ike

hey ike dont be wishing for snow in the bason i'ved been out ther for 2 weeks bricking a house i need 2 more weeks of good weather. but it is nice to come home to some snow i caught a cat today the race lasted 60 seconds, cut the track turned one dog loose had it caught, right now the lion was in a couple of traps 50 yards off the road. every once in a while cool stuff happens, might be the only way i could catch one, lol.

Congratulations on the catch and fun day little bit, cause I'll bet that was really cool. A few years back I went to run a problem bear for the state out of the boy scout camp, so I rolled in there around 7:30 AM on a Sunday morning between groups of kids. My hounds all rigged hard when I pulled into camp so I kicked them all down. Yea, they all ran straight over to the bear trap and located on a trapped bear. Now that's what I call bear hunting!

The campground host told me he had heard that bear trap door slam shut not five minutes before I arrived, so I figured that damn bear must of known we were on the way??????? I assured DWR that if they let me take that bear home he wouldn't ever bother them again but they weren't having any of it :?:

To be truthful, I'm with you on the snow thing little bit, cause when the snow gets on the ground the Basin just gets colder and who needs it! Personally, I'd like an open winter until about February then it can snow like hell!
