I use to be a pretty hard core bear hunter but these days I seem to concentrate more on cat and lion, but there is somthing about bear hunting that is truely addictive.I have a good freind who is in my oinion one of the better bear hunters in the country, and he has some great bear dogs. He is kind enough to let this old lion hunter ride along with him now and then and even throw a cat dog or two into the box to give them a little super charging. LOL! When that rig blows up, I mean all of them at one time it is just one of the most exciting things in the world to a hound person. When they get that track lined out and are smoking across the mountain it is another huge thrill. but to me the thing that just is the ultimate is when they go out of hearing and you have all that anticipation built up. you start to move to see where they took it, and all of a sudden you pull up and get out on the rim of as canyon and it is just a solid roar.WOW! I mean when they are treed or bayed tight and the canyon is just resounding with the roar. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!! If a hound guy doesn't love that he should possibly consider taking up checkers as a hobby...LOL!
