lion 1-03-09

A lion Bearcla69 and bearhunter77 caught and left in the tree. I went back 2-3 hours( I poached the track ) for my young dogs who had not seen a lion ran him again . dogs did good treeing and even had to put some teeth in to put it back up when it decided it had enogh of looking at my partners ugle face.

As you can see it was right on a groomed trail and many people stopprd thier sleds to look straight up to see what the dogs were doing and low and beholf 8-10 feet above them there was this monster mountain lion Atleast to them ready to eat them and kill all thier deer and elk.
I put him at 100-110but with the full belly he has in the pictures he ie 130-135. Anyhow a 2-3 year old tom not worth taking at all.

Looks like you had to walk a long way to that tree :D Gotta love it. Sure makes it a lot easier to load up the dogs and find another track. Great pictures. Any training is good training. Thanks for sharing.

I only have 2 ( I got smart about it :lol: ) The plott standing on the tree and the one with the orange collar . Thanks but they are not much just there.

Nice job dude and buddies! Thats the way to do it, from the trail/road. You won't be that lucky again for a while probably. Keep on it!
