Email action Alert on the site??
I've been thinking about creating an email list for action alerts.
something that you would recieve, that would tell you what's going on Regarding Hound Hunting issues.
I don't want to flood folks emails with junk but rather when something is going on, for people who actually give a shit about trying to protect our sport they could get an email saying This is going on, and we need to call and email this person.. etc...
How many people would subscribe to something like that.

Re: Email action Alert on the site??
I hope alot of people choose to recieve and then email/call. It is very important for houndsman of all states to work together. Precedents set in any state can/will affect the state we live in. The future of our sport depends on all of us not just a few.

Excellent Idea Buddy! If hound folks don't get involved trust me it won't get done, and we will wake up one day and look in the paper and see our hound hunting priveldges have been voted away.

Ok, Tell me what you think about this???
We'll call it the BigGameHoundsmen Action Alert system.
Required Fields will be Simple,
Name
State
Email
This will make you apart of the action System. you will get a email asking you to take action.
Default is that I don't send you junk,
Emails regarding Fighting for our Hunting Rights. (Non Negotiable, your going to get these)
Secondly by Default I would send Lost/Stolen hounds, And Major State association Fundrasiing Dinners and Banquets for your states, Not the small hound clubs, the major state association events. ( You can Opt out of these communications if you want.)
Finally, I have a List of Optional lists that can help sort and distribute information if this system should grow.... these can be field trials, events, or even a Newsletter for BigGameHoundsmen.
So the Bottom line is I want to make sure that I don't send Junk email to the wrong people, I hate getting mail I don't want to read, and I'll try my Best to make sure I don't do the same to you.
So If you sign up you will to opt in for the general stuff like Field Trials, and a Newsletter etc.
Here is the full list of info and questions that I've prepared to collect, Most of them are Optional.

Re: Email action Alert on the site??
It was pretty clear what the results would be, So I got the system up for registration.
I'll still need some inputs about what and how often we use the system to send emails.
I'm asking everyone to Help get this going, and spread the word.
Here is the Sign up page, Please pass this around to others who will want to join, It would be helpful to list this on other hunting sites as well, please be respectful when promoting this.
The more people we can get on board the better response we can have.

Re: Email action Alert on the site??
So, The next question is how to select the items that need to be emailed.
And what is the best. Would like some serious inputs as to what you would want.
For example, I would want all the contact info easily accessable. and If possible, a phone number.
I would problably only want on email a week, unless urgent.
