So i got a fullsize bronco and i wanna rig my dogs but i dont want to take the top off. i've seen the strike pads around on yota's and i'm sure someone out there either does or has made them for a fullsize truck. i'm not really looking to buy one i'd always like to build it rather than buy it. Has anyone else done this before and took pics theyd like to share?
Thanks, Arch

In the past i've gone to the carpet store and gotten a piece about 20-30" wider than my hood. Then simply put it on your hood and tuck the extra material along the sides and close your hood as much as possible. It should latch, but probably won't shut all the way. They stay in place pretty good and they're cheap!

Go to any upholstery shop they make it to your hood and put snaps under the hood &seatbelt strap sew in with a eye so you can hook a lead to it

Hey, thanks yall, both of those sound like a better idea and simpler than what i was thinking. i was thinking take a rubber floor mat with the carpet kinda stuff on top and put that around the edges of the hood, and use a ratchet tie down. but i like just tuckin the carpet under and a seat belt.
Thanks for the reply's
