On cats Im 0% and on bears I was 2%. No need to kill any more then that. The only coons I ever kill are the ones the dogs catch in holes or on the ground. I dont believe killing game out to your dogs makes enough of a difference in them to cut your owne throat by eliminating another prospect to trail and tree, dead critteres dont make tracks.

In the last 10 years I have had 2 dog at one lion kill. My friend that took the lion has hunted since early 70's. Only lion he has taken or had taken with his dogs. I have had no dogs at bear kills. For me the thrill of the hunt is through the dogs not the kill. I would rather have game to run. Mark

varies from year to year. last year one out of seventeen lions... this year 1 bob up, 1 bob down.. 1 lion up, 1 lion down.... bottom line..some need harvested for management however we enjoy running our dogs...period..having cats to chase will depend on hunter ethics and values cooresponding with good game management practices. This season has been crappy to run for lots of reasons..hope to be out more in the future. WE have lots of pics and video though that we share with our friends and family...amazing how much terrain you learn following dogs!

lion slayer

You might have a hard time getting the people that kill everything they catch to come forth.

Lions 6 up and 1 came down. Bears 36 up and 7 came down. Bobcats 8 and 8 but I hope to catch some more and kill seasons over on varmits. I suport my hunting addiction with my bobcat money. Of the 5 lions I let walk and hoped to catch again 3 are dead and they were females. It's to bad but I killed one to so I can't say to much.

Put 2 down both were Mature Toms 151 lb. and 148 lb. taken by my Brother and my neighbor friend so I guess I'm just over 10% but still have some running to do so that # will pry go down yet. As was said before dead animals dont make tracks, I like to go out and be able to find a track to run...

for those of you just putting how many were killed each year. i think lionslayer wants a %of what was killed that year and how many you treed. this year i've been under 6 lions and my dog was in for one kill. with these snow conditions it was sure a pretty piss poor year. many tracks just crappy snow for dogs to trail in.

catdogs with your outfitting how many returned clients do you get with 0% success?
