Is that blood on the dog tail wacker or did they get into a tussle with the kitty? Very nice pictures. Good looking dogs.

these dogs are some cross bred dogs we raise. That is blood on the side of that dog his tail came though the skin from going back and forth to hard, we should have docked them when they were little. we started this track about 7am and the dogs cold trailed it for about an hour then got him jumped out of the rocks if you new this canyon it is a hell hole it took us about 3 hours to get to the dogs.

I know that canyon and you can have it. Whew!

There is not on level spot in that place and if ever there was a spot that it is uphill both ways this is it. I nearly bought the farm in that canyon many years a go. I had treed one on top and I hit another going into this canyon and couldn't shut them down. About that time a blizzard blew in on me and it was white out and the temp dropped way below zero. Thru many hours of excertion getting to the dogs with a lion in a bayed up hole and then getting them away from there I got so wore out and dis- oriented I didn't know what to do. I started hiking out to the river knowing I could never make the top. I made it to a ranch only to be turned out in the cold by a very hard hearted bitter women who hated hunters. I walked or dragged my self another mile or so thru the snow storm until hypothermia got to me and although I could see another ranch house in the distance I couldn't lift my legs any more and I fell over in a snowy field. Lucky for me a Navajo Indian man and his wife were working on this place and hearing their stock dog barked and they saw me fall into the snow, and they came and carried me to the house and slowly warmed me up, and saved me although I did suffer some pretty severe frostbite.

Yes I know that damn canyon.....
