Looking at the probability of moving to jane lew in the immediate future. I am mostly interested in the hunting prospects around there but any info would be appreciated. I believe its about 30 minutes south of clarksburg. I do have family with land around summersville but I think thats a ways away.

You have to head east to the mountains in Pocahontas or Randolph County for bear, but the Jane Lew area has some big farms you could rabbit, coon, squirrel, deer, and Turkey hunt.
Nicholas and Webster County has great Bear and Bobcat hunting near Summersville, but all the counties mentioned have pretty good coon hunting.
The lakes have public land to hunt around Stonewal Jackson Lake and Stonecoal lake about 25 -30 minutes from Jane Lew.
My Cur has tree'd a couple of really nice sized bear around those lakes while I have been squirrel and coon hunting. So where are you moving from?

Thanks for the info. I am pretty sure I'll be moving just not sure where. Its either Jane Lew or williamsport, pa. I'm wanting jane lew as is my wife so we'll see. I'll be moving from Vernal Utah. Thanks again. Anthony

There's some good hunting in PA if you end up in Williamsport, alot of BIG bear, just no bear running with hounds....but you're only a few hours from WV or NY. Good luck either way.
