clearwater dogs came from Terry Clearwater out of Butte Falls Or. The dogs that started it was Bohdi and Lucile that is out of TERRY'S mouth I've seen these dogs in action and they are dandy's .They are the same cross me and my dad run house tant walker cross. Hope that helps clearwater everthing up.

I appreciate the info on the Clearwater dogs myself. Jim Bundricks best (BLUE) dog now is suppose to be a Cameron Clearwater cross, but ofcourse Del's dogs are heavy blue jack as well.
House/Tant now that is a heck of a lot more interesting to me. LOL!
Not a lot of folks know a lot about Charlie Tant but I have had the pleasure of setting and visiting with several of his good friends and have many old black and whites of Charlie and his walker dogs. He was the West Coast version of Ben Lilly I would say if you were going to follow old Charlie you better pack a big lunch. LOL!

Sonny Beachamp in Green River Utah ran the Tant hounds for along time.
He is too old now to get around in the hills. I believe a couple of his friends are hunting his last few Tant hounds for him. Maybe a source of blood for some one looking.

Didnt know there was two different Clearwater lines. Whats the background on the Bluetick Clearwater? Anybody know? my understanding was that it was heavy Vaughn stuff like driftwood blue said.
I had a female that I got from Sonny that had alot of Tant blood in her and I planned to cross her back on her brother because that is what sonny wanted. She ended up getting killed mysteriously. These dogs came from Stan Mecham who trapped them on ranch that Charlie had been hunting one winter and when it was time to leave he couldnt catch them. Anyways a guy by the name of Craig that hunts for the gov. somewhere around Grand Junction has a real nice female that is heavy Tant and then Cory Veterri out of Green River has the brother to my dog.
