I had to have surgury on my dog for some fox tails on his back, while out he had a seisure,the vet said that it a was pretty bad one, once home I put him up in a stall in the barn to keep him quiet and clean, locked up in the stall we had some people come to look at a horse we have for sale, when they came close to the stall he about lost his mind trying to get to them, then a week later when the propane man was here he got out of the kennel and confronted the man and bite him. I've had this dog for three years, the guy I got him from had him living in his appartment, he's been around hundreds of people ( at least 25 field trials ) and has never had a signal proplem with any type of aggressive behavor,

has any body had anything like this happen to one of there dogs?

Have you spoken to your vet about his behavioral changes?

Complications of seizures include the brain being deprived of oxygen during the seizure, as normal respiration is halted during the seizing event. The longer the seizure lasts, the longer the brain is without oxygen. Cell [ brain ] damage can result from this.

Could there be a link between your dogs changed behavior and the seizure it suffered? Dunno...... It would be a good question for your vet, or another source qualified to answer such a question.

Perhaps the behavior is in response to pain from the surgery?

Has any other event [ with strangers / other people ] recently transpired to cause a newly placed miss trust in strangers?
