Had one pair of danners when I was a teen. never been more let down. They tore up my feet and the sole left some to be desired. Have yet to even try on another pair.

the soles of mine kept seperating from the boot so i swapped to irish setters and couldn;t be more pleased. especially with the new i believe gunflint and snake boot ones

I am 2 sizes bigger in danners than any other boot company. Bad thing if you order yours online like I have. Have to make 2 returns before I got the right pair. My toes kinda get smashed still when Im goin downhill.

it's too bad when a quality big name company sells out to China.

Bought a pair that I took on a Bear hunt in Alaska, on the flight up I noticed the soles were seperating. Then on the trip they started to roll on the side so you were almost walking on the side of you foot. When I got home I returned them and was given another pair and the same thing happened. The stitching started coming undone on the outside of the boot a couple of months later. Needless to say I will not ever buy another pair of Danners !!

I must be a fluke but my Danners are the best and most comfortable boots I've owned...My only beef is they are kind of heavy but I love them. Sorry to hear you guys had some bad runs.

If this question would have been ask 5years ago i would have promoted Danner boots to anyone and everyone, I have use them for twenty years and that is every day use and thought them to be the best boot money could buy. Now that China is making them the leather, and the stitching are of poor quality and kill my feet to brake them in, and if gotten wet they shrink two sizes never to worn again. Twice burned I will never buy another pair.

I would like to hear what others are wearing, and their reason they believe the boot is the best.

irish setter makes a nice light water proof boot. thought about getting danners but not after the china report. just wish the irish setters were 2 inches higher for deeper water.

I have had the same problems with the pronghorns! They suck! I bought a pair of the raptors, which are still danners but made in america and i couldnt be happier with them. They were 300 bucks but awesome boots. If you buy danners you have to buy the expensive ones that are still made in america.
