Always minor problems everywhere I know of. Yesterday a guy in Mariposa walked out on his porch and got chewed up by one that he didn't see when he went out. Ate him up pretty good but he'll be o.k. F&W is looking for it.

so kick why doesent this guy file a law suit against ole ted lieu and stiengburg , they are directly responsible for these attacks, this is not an act of god, this will get worse these animals have lost fear of man , none of this was based on scientific data// all of this is simply these idots don't like any type of hunting... and if I hear one more time that the fish and bunny cops are on our side I'm going to loose my cool jim

Jim if you got the impression from my post that I think F&W is on our side you mis-interpreted it. I just stated the fact that F&W was trying to find the bear that ate the guy up.

So far as of Oct 31, 2015 F&W Bear take is at 940 down 37 from about the same date for 2014 (977 as of 3 Nov. 2014) and up from 2013 of 647 as of the Oct. 31 2013.

As of Nov.18 2015 F&W has 1061 bears being reported for 2014 Bear take as of 13 November 1080, 2013 it was 795 as of the 15 Nov. up 285 from 2014 but still down about 380 from 2012, at this time in 2012 the take was 1461.

1194 as of the close of the season, if I remember right it down about 200+ from last year.

As of Dec.1st they had reported 919, down about 150-200 from the same time last year.

Does anyone have depredidation data for 2014-2017? I'd like to see how this is trending.

depredeidation kills jumped from 64 to 143 in 2013 to 2014.
