Garmin Collar Antennas

Postby CouesHunter » Sun Apr 21, 2019 10:39 am

The plastic is worn off all the tips on my dogs Garmin collars. Does this cause any issues with tracking? I haven't noticed anything but I am curious. Has anyone tried dipping them into something like ABS pipe glue to re-coat them. And last but not least, any opinions on the best collar antenna out there (For Garmins).

Thanks
Rharris

Take a 22 or 22 mag brass. Slide over end and crimp onto antenna. Doesn't seem to hurt range i of antenna.
