Re: Catahoula Treedogs
Cassandra, I have a customer that has bred these dogs for 30 yrs. most turn out b/t weigh around 70+ lbs beautiful dogs and smart. Usually a one family dog. Keep you a few out of the litter and start and hunt them alone. Don't hunt them with your hounds just start walking them through the woods and you can tell what they have a desire to do. Don't do any kind of artificial stimulation. Don't show them what you want to hunt, let them show you what they do best. That's the only way you can tell what their NATURAL desire is.

Very nice looking dogs! The two that i had were NALC registered as well and very hard going dogs they were naturals in the woods. But very trashy when they started especially the male he loved the deer but i finally got him broke. These 2 Cats is what got me involved in the leopards. I sold the Cats right before i got married then 5 years later was looking for dogs again. Good luck with them dogs they are beautiful!
