Postby POORBOY » Sun Apr 10, 2011 5:27 pm

"This may not be what some people would consider as "Goulash" but it is the name my mom gave this when I was a child. Delicious and brings back wonderful memories. Hope you enjoy it too."
Ingredients

o 1 lb ground beef
o 1 small green peppers
o 1 large onions
o 1 tablespoon margarine or 1 tablespoon oil
o 1 teaspoon salt
o 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
o 4 cups cooked macaroni
o 1 quart tomatoes
o 1 (32 ounce) cans tomato sauce

Directions

1. Saute green pepper and onions in margarine or oil.
2. Add ground beef, salt and black pepper.
3. Cook until browned.
4. Add this to tomatoes, tomato sauce and macaroni.
5. Simmer on low heat about 15 minutes.
6. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
7. Some water can be added if needed.

Made as directed, with the addition of Green onion, Paprika, Fresh Garlic.

Not Bad.

Yep, that sounds like goulash. My mother made it the same way and it sure is good.
