will are season is over for another year. we treed over 90 bear did not take any scout was on all most all of them. he has a nose like no other. i didnt use him to start with but will put the time in to that next year. he is a darn good tree dog he will stand on the tree most of the time. as far as grit on the ground i never got to see him on one up close he was on many on the ground and stayed on them just never got in on them to see him.i have said it before i would take a truck load of them
