I would like to know the few that wants me to go to heck, but I don't need to know their names. Tell you what. Send that pup to one of these other guys that want their money back or a pup. I have more than I can hunt now, but there's several on here that would like something for what they've given you. I just chalk it up to a good learning adventure.

Tim, a suggestion:

Replace the pup for Morrow and I will compensate you with a pup sired by Dreyfus.
That way the integrity stays intact and there are no more tears.
I won't have a pup available until next year, but you know I will keep my word.

I am sitting on an 8 week old litter right now, but I am not so sure that would be the best thing to do as I previously posted. Please PM me all future correspondence concerning this issue, so that our thoughts are not drug thriugh the muck and mire on here. I am open to the best resolution, under the curcumstances. Thanks...

...and as for the nutrition issue, well it appears that I am right on that one, as the other one of the two with supposed dysplasia, had it's feed altered and came out of it. What do you know about that...

Tim
I do not feel sorry for Gavin as a man, but as someone who became associated to you through this. There is no doubt in his integrity, but yours however is very lacking.
I promise you one thing Tim......I won't look back, its not me trying to make myself into Bill Greene. I just hunt hounds for myself and am not trying to be a puppy mill. I know what I like in a hound, and not every cross works. Like I said before it was nothing more than a lesson learned for me. You keep saying you tried to make things right with me?????????? this has been over a year ago? and yesterday all of the sudden you have an 8 week old pup :? I had a refund coming at one time remember? You don't need to explain anything to me.....as far as I'm concerned this is water under the bridge. I just hope you come clean with these others that you owe. The only reason I post on this subject is for future buyers to BEWARE of your so called good intentions.

Sorry that I let this post from George fall through the cracks. I did not go back and
re-read the whole thread.

Answer to the first question is, that I believe nutrition is the common denominator here not genetics. Only 2 of the 1/2 breed pups out of this litter had this problem and one of them has already come out of it after the diet was changed.

Next question and the sister question that follows: No, and I will give a comparison here. If I bought a house from someone and the contractor forgot to install the insulation and I later on discovered it, that would be known as a hidden defect. It would then be the contractor's responsibility, not the new buyer's. But this only applies to the hounds, if in fact it is genetic, which has not been proven yet. The GS with the siezures has not been proven to be genetic either. I would also suspect the dead cows that were ground up and fed to it. What did they die of, What king of drugs, antibiotics, or what was that cow fed? I understand a few may have slipped in there own shit and split a pelvis, but not all.

Answer to the last question: Yes, there were 8 pups in that litter, 6 are catching game, the other two I do not know about, but I will call for an update on them. Each and everyone of these 6 are track drivers. The people with these young hounds would love to post pics, but will not. As to size, they are not that much bigger than my Camerons'. Two of the six are placed with SW dryground hunters. When they got those pups, I was told that I would know if the pups made or exceeded the grade, because these guys would breed them to their best females for their own crosses. These 2 GS males do indeed have litters on the ground, so I will take that as a certified seal of approval from the owners, in addition to their comments to me over the phone, all along. These hunters are running hounds from 2 of the top three SW dryground strains in the SW. Without breaking my promise to the owners, I cannot say what strains they are running, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. These 6 young GS hounds have 2 things that stand out, nose and day after day endurance in real SW heat.

I hope that answers it, but if I missed a question, please feel free to point it out.

I would think that most 8 year olds learn that when they tell a story to their parents and they get spanked and sent to their room that either their story needs to get better next time or they should just go with the truth in the future… apparently that lesson never stuck in this case???

Thanks Liontracker,

I figured you didn't answer my questions because you were tired of bickering. I was going to save it up and ask it again later under different circumstances.

I get what your saying about the house insulation and where the responsibility lies. I tend to think that your pup buyer should come back at you. Simply because you are the one that sold them the pup. Then you guys get to try to figure out the cause of the health issue and what needs to be done if anything. Not necessarily fun for anyone as we have seen here. :)

When it comes to size, most Camerons are a little to big for me. I am glad to hear the dogs are working out for some of the people.

I saw a video on YouTube of a dog that resembled a very sleek and slender walker running the hair of a big old jack rabbit somewhere in Europe. I don't know what kind of dog it was but it sure looked like it would be an interesting dog to try on bobcats in the Northwest. I wish I could find that video and post it to try and see if anyone knew what they were. That is the type of dog I would want to try. And for the wise guys out there, it wasn't a beagle. :)

I wish everyone involved the best of luck.

George you probably watched a video of the Ariegeois. A hare specialist from the Ariege region in France. Great nose, excellent feet, speed and endurance all selected for success in the very mountainous and dry region.

African,

I looked at some footage of the Ariegeois, I can't say for certain if that was the dog or not. My wife is pushing me out of the house for a weekend get away, when I get back I will track down the video I had seen before. I bet you will be able to tell me what it is.

Thanks,
George

Steve,

That might be it. I will have to find the video, my curiosity is peeked once again. If I don't give up for now my wife is going to cut off parts near and dear to me!

Thanks
