White hollow plotts

Postby rickyfarrell10 » Wed Feb 19, 2020 12:58 am

Was wondering if anyone has hunted any of this breed. On the sire side the blood goes back to Houston valley. Looking at getting a pup for bear hunting.

I am in West Virginia and happened to come across the white hollow and Pocahontas cross. My brother hunts with a guy that has the cross. He said most of the pups are making it to the tree by 7 months old. This will be my first plott so I am
Not to familiar with the bloodlines.

I ended up getting one. She is 4 months old and doing good. She is showing a lot of potential. Will raise cane on caged coon. Listens well and very smart.

I am really impressed with her so far. She is extremely smart. I just worry she is gonna be stupid gritty. Gonna have a lot of vet bills

She looks a little female I had named grace she was purchased bread plott and she did a great job trailing and tracking coon but she had a real bad experience on her first bear and never made a bear dog after that she would trail but would go back to the truck soon as the bear treed

She came from Tricia Butler out of wv. Her mom was a small built dog. Good looking dog.

Update: she made it to 2 different trees yesterday. 800 yards first tree. Second tree was only a 74 yard chase
