Nice to hear everyones opinion! It is interesting to me the difference in hunters and attitudes per region.
would love to hear some more takes on it. would be real interested in any of you bluetickers take. Dog is heavy rambo and hawk blood.

Re: whats your opinion?
I am not a real cat hunter, I LOVE a good cat race though. The Breeder was concerned about starting him on Coon. He felt like this line of dogs was pretty straight on whatever they were started on.
My thoughts have been I can always get him on bear. I dont think the country I live in holds enough ...

whats your opinion?
Looking for some opinions....
would like to know what everyones opinions are on cat dogs that were started on coon or bear?
I live out west and bought a young dog, now ten months old from back east. My intentions were\are to make a cat dog out of him if he cooperates. He has been lightly started ...

Re: Rigging Topic
Great Topic for sure! When I was younger I had the good fortune to hunt behind my fathers dogs. I was in my early twenties and i remember it was the last day of bear pursuit season in Idaho. My father was primarily a Bear/lion hunter. My dad would pass up good Bobcat tracks to go on and cut a Lion ...

Re: Please read to the end!
I would just like to point out the fact that putting the spotlight on the USDA is not the answer. Mike, I know what it is like to be passionate about hound hunting and searching for every angle to get a leg up. That being said you have a very valid point, ADC guys do not broadcast what they do. If ...

Re: Heads up/track drifting blueticks
@ Tim I agree with you. I personally enjoy hearing a dog open 30 times in an hour and get treed vrs 150 times in three hrs to get treed on the same piece of game. that is the style of hunting i Prefer and I hope my recent acquisition from back east fits the bill. @ Gary I have followed many old lion ...

Re: Heads up/track drifting blueticks
Man this is all a lot to digest and dang sure priceless. I think i need to go on a couple week journey accross the country and go hunting. I know everyone has different ideas and viewpoints maybe more so in competition hunters. I do know this a dog that truly drifts a track right often gets dubbed ...

Re: Heads up/track drifting blueticks

Re: Heads up/track drifting blueticks
Any of you hunted with the Rambo2 stuff? @ trueblue ive hunted primarily Walker and running dogs and variations of those crosses most my life. I am probably a bear hunter more so than anything but I LOVE a good bob race. I have a pretty nice blue dog I had some real fun with this winter and at times ...

Heads up/track drifting blueticks
If your reading this, thanks for taking the time. I am looking for somewhere to start with registered Blueticks. Looking for information on Blueticks that are tight, athletic and will run heads up and have a desire to drift a track and get out front.

Swampland Plotts
Anyone still breed any straight Swampland Plotts? Not interested in other lines or crosses.
