Re: Lions, Bobcats and Bears

No idea how long it takes cats to cross back through, lot of things can probly affect that, hunting being one of em. If they are caught by dogs it might throw them off and they may avoid that area for awhile or all together, or if they've been ran a lot they might not care. I know where a lot of ...

Re: question about line breeding

Im the same way tod. I start mine whenever they're ready to hunt a lot of times it's between 3-4 months old age but they've mostly just seen caged critters and are starting to trail bear. Some say you can burn a young dog out doing that but I don't want the dog anyways if it's gonna get burnt out ...

Re: question about line breeding

Does anyone ever think of nature vs nurture when it comes to these hounds and breeding? What I mean is the dogs people are selectively picking for their breeding program are they the absolute naturals out of the bunch or are these people just really good dog trainers? Talked to cobalt about this and ...

Re: Genetic Diversity

Keep this subject going. Been trying to learn more myself and dipped into linebreeding a little recently but want to know as much as I can. Pics are nice but video of pups out of your dogs you've linebreed on would be better. Want to know some success rates (%) on average people have had ...

Havent had a chance to get out with finishing my flatbed and been busy with school but got out this Saturday and found a small guy moving around. Re: Rig training

Prepare for a year or two of headaches. Nothing more satisfying than starting out with young dogs and building your pack from the ground up and nothing like wanting to rip your hair out and sound like a crazy person cussing your dogs out in the woods. Shock system is the way to go. All i had was a ...
