How's the pheasant and quail adventures going?

The more bear videos I watch the more fun it looks. I really like pheasant hunting but treeing a bear looks pretty darn fun. Keep posting and I'll get some bear dogs when the times right.

Thank you all for the reply. Especially about being honest about the skills of a hunting dog. My hound experience is limited though. I will have much to learn about bear hunting with hounds. I'm sure it would be helpful to go with someone here. I plan on ordering the book soon.

I am interested in bear hunting. My background is bird hunting. I am limited on the number of dogs I can have in the suburbs though.
Is it reasonable to hunt bear with two dogs?

I ended up getting a 200i and it seems nice. Still learning how to use it but very nice for my big running pointer.

Any hound hunters using a 200i yet? Just wanted to check on thoughts of them. I have GSPs and Pointers. My male pointer is a big runner and it's hard to keep him nearby when grouse hunting. I was about to get the Garmin 550+ until the 200i came out. Where I hunt is often alone and bad cell reception.

I will run my Pointer and GSP's for about 30 minutes at a time training with birds in the summer heat. I try to train in the afternoon if possible.
