Tri Tronics Classic to Garmin Pro 70
Simple question: Are the old tri tronics classic collars compatible with the new garmin/tri tronics system (Pro 70)?
I know its old news but I can't find the answer anywhere on the forums, probably since the question is so old....I assume the answer is no?
Thanks!

Re: t 10 stealing reception
Same thing happens with t5 and dc30s/40. No "interference warning" or anything, just plain can't track the t5.

Astro 320 Questions
Just trying to figure out some tweaking on my new 320. First, my collars were not leaving tracks on the map. I could find the collars in the track menu, and I could see them on the "map" option (within the track menu) but on the map screen they were not showing up. I tried starting a new hunt etc. I ...

Re: Would you shoot?
I don't know much about kodiak island or the biology of kodiak brown bears, so if there was a chance it is a sow with cubs, then no shot(I'm assuming the guide would fill me in there). Or if the population is declining then no shot (but I don't think it is?).
HOWEVER, I would shoot if it was a boar ...

Re: Opinions on bobcat movement
No expert here, but what I notice around here is if you get too much snow the cats will just not move....at all. They will stay in their little pocket swamp for a week or more if there is a few rabbits etc. Bobcats are just not adapted to deep snow.
But once that snow can hold 'em up (crust or ...

Re: rivers and shelf ice
Well, discussions are always fun. I think the point is proven from the stories (both saved dogs and lost dogs) that there is a risk and its up to the hunter to make the call. No "side" will be right.
I agree with merlo's sentiment that its whatever the hunter is comfortable with and go from there ...

Re: rivers and shelf ice
My gang watches the ice here in northern Wisconsin. Especially this year knowing that rain/snow came then all melted, making the rivers high and fast, and then snow came again before a hard freeze. Meaning insulated thin ice and fast flowing rivers. It ain't nothing to do with a dogs swimming ...

Re: Best Area for a Houndman
No problem, hope it helps. Interesting to see how recommended California was before the ban on bear hunting. Not good, tough to find a state with it all.
And British Columbia sure is beautiful. If I could find a job there and it was a little simpler transferring countries, I'd seriously consider it.
