Bear Dog Help
I agree 100% with your story Jeff. If everyone would do that we might open a few eyes.

My last week in the California Desert.
That's my stomping grounds for cat hunting. I've spent my whole life hunting the area's mentioned, too bad California is taking this from us.

Someones talking about me...........
I don't want to start a pissing match here but this is a prime example of why I hunt alone 90% of the time. There are only a couple guys I will hunt with and we go to a spot we both know that each other hunts. I do not know the circumstances nor do I need to know but I can say from past experiences ...

Re: SAM FAULK
Sam Faulk was as hard of bear hunter as they get and raised some top notch bear dog's. I have had a couple dogs out of Sams dogs back in the early 90's and the ones I hunted all did very well on bear and did ok on bobcats but were definitely better bear dogs in my opinion. Sam used to come hunt ...

Re: Opinions on types of snowmobiles
Thank's guy's for all your opinion's, that's just what I was wanting to know. I have been looking at sled's and some of them look like there might be room behind the seat for a dog crate. Like I said before I only plan on using the sled to bobcat hunt after the snow get's too deep for my pickup ...

Re: Opinions on types of snowmobiles
It sounds like the best for me would probably be the mountain sled (powder sled) rather than the utility sled for the type of hunting I am going to be doing. I plan on only taking a couple dogs at a time and like Kevin had mentioned I probably will not be pulling the trailer sled that much while I ...

Re: Opinions on types of snowmobiles
Thanks for the info. Kevin. I have hunted off of a snowmobile once but it was years ago. The guy I hunted with had both of them and does not hunt anymore. The problem I have is nobody I know uses sleds to hunt with anymore around here. I want to be able to hunt the deep snow where i can't get in my ...

Opinions on types of snowmobiles
I am thinking about getting a snowmobile to bobcat hunt off of. I am looking for everyone's opinion on what make and models do the best for bobcat hunting. I don't know much about them so any information would help. Thanks, Dj

NABEK BRED PLOTTS???
I am looking for some opinions on nabek bred plotts. I have heard a bit about them for the last few years but havent hunted with one and was wondering if some of you that have them or hunted with them can tell me a bit about them? All I have been hearing for the last few years is that they were ...

Re: need pointers on how to find bear
The most important thing to do is to find the food they are eating. The next bear you harvest check its stomach to see what it has been eating. The main diet for a bear where i live is berries untill they dry up and acorns.
