If you run enough, all the time not just in good conditions you will have sore feet to deal with. there are many products but some dogs just have more tender feet than others too.

well the advice given so far has been awesome. indeed there are places you just have to go on foot especially in lion season but mules can make much work in the woods so much easier. We pack a lot of dead things out on mules and here in idaho literally Tons of bait for bears on mules and dead bear ...

Well you could have talked to any one at the ESOS today till 1 pm that is the weather is more like Idaho usually is here in PA and at home its all nice no snow. Of course there are wannabes at the ESOS but there are also a handfull of real hunting outfitters that are also excellent houndsman too ...
