thanks guys for all your help, i had a nice long talk with him today and once again tried to make him understand the error of his ways with this guy, so to speak.I think i got through a little more. most apparently our girl let go of the coon when he told her to, it was one of "dudes" problem pups ...

I have tried explaining this to him and he keeps telling me i'm not gona ruin her "it was just one time, it was just a couple times.She really didn't show any interest in it". I tell him that doesn't matter that he is running her with his dogs she is going to learn from his dogs. don't get me wrong ...

I really appreciate all the responses. they went out to day and let a mink go that they had trapped and let the dogs chase it (they didn't catch it it got into the water under the ice) then i guess they went and tracked a coon and the dogs chased it into its den.(2nd coon) so heres another question ...

back story is husband got a pup from a friend back in october, him and his friend did a hand full of hide drags then nothin for couple months, then in the last month (pup is 6-7 mnths now) they are going out "coon training" every day almost to get her "turned on". problem is this dude is new to ...

the only reason that i was considering a top is because our back yard is fenced but yet she manages to keep finding ways out and every time we figure out where she's getting through she finds another way including climbing up and over apart of our fence that is slightly bending over, she climbed ...

right now we have her sleeping next to the bed kept in with a baby gate, she can get over it but as long as we are in the room sleeping she sleeps all night and lets us know when she needs to go out. so what good comes from crate training, never have done this with a dog before?

thanks for all the good ideas it looks like kennels are the way to go. What about the cat issue is there any luck there does, anyone have cats?

we thought about getting a kennel, it would have to be cover on top or would they get out if left open, what about digging under? so far she has been pretty good with all our chickens and the cats she has been good with, my one cat is kind of skittish and i'v caught her chasing him once or twice ...
