Lots of Bears you should of harvested a few, they belong to another houndsman up there.

If you times it by 3 its alot closer. I weighed a hide and head a couple of years ago that was 87 lbs the bear weighed just over 250 lbs unskinned on the scales at the cooler. I ve got one here right know that weighs 67 lbs and the bear was 227 lbs ungutted on my scales at camp.

Payettes are on August 14th at 8am sign ups at 7am at the Killebrew Pond. Havent heard when Hagermans are yet.

Ive never hunted with a bluetick plott cross but Ive hunted a few walker plott crosses that have been nice dogs. The first time you cross like that they seem to produce well hybrid vigor I believe they call it. Its the next ones that have attendency to go to hell. If the damn and sire are full ...

Twowalkers, I think you nailed it on the head, The outfitters are not going to like it but to hell with them. I have been offered several times to guide hunters but wont do it, to me its like whorring yourself and your dogs out. I would love to see outfitting shut down all together.

Thanks guys, those are Garmin collars. This was my first year with them and I have had a few problems but Garmin fixes them every time. I still run my Johnsons but love the Garmin, dont even like to go hunting with out them.
