.308 marlin express

what is nice about the 308 is it is a30 cal and ther is alot of diff granes and if you log on to snipper central they have alot of lode info and lots on the 308 histery and it is also the pick of the litter for are police deparment and are military snipers but 308 ex is not mutch diff

I wouldn't shoot anything but a .308

Bob Sage used a pair of nickle plated 45 `s and just walked in on the ground too the bay and kept fireing and walken/ I believe at last hurd ole Bob was still alive and hes killed as many bear over the years as anyone.

Then there Don Poore hes carryed a semi auto 380 pocket gun and killed many a bear at 6-12 inches away ansd hes still hear talked too on the phone less than a month ago !

Rick Summers hes a wreckless as a juiced up dago and walks right in on a bayed-up bear blasten away with a 44 mag. and hes now in hios 40`s !

Ronnie Monroe kiled more bear over his hunten yrs with a 30-06 semi auto rifle and is someweres in Ore. now.

I believe Roger Tillus loved a 30-30 and hes killed a good many a bear and not a great shot up a tree on a yrln. but hes killed a noughf big bear on the ground with it close-up !

I could go on and on and all its sayen/ choose what ya think is your BAD EYE BEAR GUN, it works for you/ RIGHT ?

Well im not a bear hunter but ive seen what a .308 can do to a deer.A 30-06 is slow and drops way to fast and a 30-30 is a little small in my book to hunt bears with!!!!Now if i was going to hunt bear with a pistol then yeah a 44 or 45 mag for sure would be great,but i think id be taking one of my .308 rifles.

I looked at one of the rifles at a sporting goods store the other day. And I hate to say it. But for a Marlin the fit and finish was not very good.
