What the camera probably didn't show on the one hunt was that it was an all day affair... got off the mountain in the dark and everyone was EXHAUSTED. Nice tom, but he made us pay dearly. Dogs hung up in the ledges, people hung up in ledges and unable to go down canyon, fatigue and bitter cold. Not sure the cameras captured the human suffering on that hunt.
That right there Brent is flaw of TV hunting programs. Soo many of these so called professional hunters have no real clue what goes into a hunt. They no nothing of the training you spent making your hounds, the money and expenses just getting out there everyday looking for tracks and yet they sit back and make John Q public believe its a cake walk and that a cougar stands no chance against a pack of hounds.
I like Tim Cooks idea and wish he could get a producer to put his footage on a half hour show. We all have had our share of deer races, back tracking or just a plan old slick tree
Primos and Cabelas are notorious for sugar coating a hunt especially when you get elk hunters in camp dressed in all their brand new Cabelas wear still sporting the price tag and fully expecting everytime you blow on a call your suppose to have an elk running right at you

Spankys right about everything being sugar coated, Now days everybody thinks you have to have the best gear that these people are selling just to be able to go hunting and kill something. What I love is when a lion cliant shows up and they're all dreesed up in there east coast whitetail hunting, scent lock, camo from head to toe clothes and then look at you funny and wonder why your not wearing the same thing. (no afence to the east coast guys

) The tv shows need to get a clue and show what really happens. Can't imagine why the public that doesn't know anybetter would think that all we do is go out turn a few vicios animal eating hell hounds loose and they run a couple hundred feet up the hill, oh I mean flat ground, and tree a poor defenseless lion then shoot it out to are saiten spond, blood spueing hell hounds

Yea, my best friend lives in Co. I tease him constantly and call him a preppy bowhunter. If it is the latest and greatest he buys it. Don't get me wrong he is a great woodsman and hunter. But seriously buys into the "the is a must have for a serious hunter" B.S.
BTW anyone know when that episode is coming on again? I would like to see it.
