Re: Dogs from Mike Kemp
Mike told me the female I got is out Shine. I don't recall whcih female she is out of. I was initially going to book one for later and he had this one that someone backed out on, so I got one earlier than I figured.

Mine is out of Shine. We have been experiencing pretty good cat numbers here. Nothing like some places I have heard about but pretty decent.Where are you located?
kirkw wrote:Hey, jimmyd, I have 2males, from mike, 2year olds. I like em! Real nice dogs! Our rabbits, are on a low cycle, and coyotes on a high cycle, so we got a lot less cats down here. You guys have good cat numbers? What dog is yours out of? playboy? Kirk

Jimmy, That is a good female. I believe it may be the one that i was holding for then i decided to get two males. Mike told me all about her progress and she should be a great dog. Have you had anything in front of her yet?

Tony, I had a coon in a box trap and foolishly released it without showing her. She trailed around some but not much. Also it was the first time I had her out in the woods since I got her. She flat hates riding in the pickup. I took her out with my other dogs later that day and they all had a good chase. Had the Garmin on her and one other dog and she was with 'em the whole time.So far I am pleased with her.

Re: Dogs from Mike Kemp
I drove up to ID from California. I brought 5 dogs back total and my dogs never got sick. I couldnt believe it. When i first got them home they wouldnt come in the house. You had to carry them to the kennel. Now they will do whatever i ask. Took a few days for them to get used to everything. Mike lives in the woods and the pups have an acre or so to run in at all times.
I rig and run them every other day, the one out of Belle is more into it than the brother to your dog. The first couple days out they were scared up top of box, but after i put a dead coon up top they jumped right up to get it and now its not an issue. When the game hits the ground, these pups are fantastic. They go nuts. I think i did good by getting two because they seem to work well together.

I think mine is still getting over the trip here. I had Red Wing Hound Haulers bring her. They took good care of her, but they picked her up on the 13th and didn't get here until the 20th. Other than the vehicle she is a ball of fire.

Re: Dogs from Mike Kemp
It just depends on how many people are on the list. I called him thinking it would be about eight months then he called me in about 2 and told me he had a couple of dogs for me. I did ask for pick of the litter though.

Re: Dogs from Mike Kemp
Where about you live? Im in Calif and wouldnt have a problem showing these dogs in the woods, Just in the last week or so they have really done more than i would have ever thought. I have hunted them with some older broke dogs a ton and you would never know that they were just pups. I highly recommend Mikes dogs.
