We got them here in Illinois and they are spotty in places but are getting more and more here all the time with people seeing them more all the time. I have treed a couple at night while coon hunting in the last couple years, but I go to Missouri to hunt them. They got lots of cats and a good season on them. I got some good places to hunt in Missouri which helps me.Iowa had it's first season this year in years and it was a quota season and it closed in two and half weeks. Cause the filled the quota so fast in Iowa. I got places to go in Iowa but it was closed before we got snow to go hunt them. In Illinois we don't have a season and can run them with dogs and who knows if we ever will knowing this State. Tell your friend to look at Missouri. But I don't know where he lives also I think Kentucky has a season on them not sure but I think they do.
