I've seen lots of walkers, running walkers, treeing walkers, old line walkers, triggs, julys, and crosses. Almost all the hound breeds have walker mixed in somewhere. All have different traits in general, as with most breeds in my opinion there are a few within each breed that are top notch and most out there are not worth feeding. Most people get too hung up on breed instead of just getting the job done. Instead of asking how is this dog bred I believe a better question is what will this dog do and what did the parents and grandparents do. With that being said a really good walker is very tough to beat.
