Blue Heelers
Re: Blue Heelers
He's a curious little dog, sorry about the late reply, He is as loyal a dog as ive ever seen, he seems unsure of his surroundings but every day gets more confident, its too cold to coon hunt and not enough snow to coyote hunt so ive been working on teaching him other things like riding in the skid loader with me on the farm haha, hes very young yet probly only four months old or so, when it comes to hunting im concearned he wont leave my side, but maybe as he gets more confident he will range farther, his job will be to work the corn feilds coon hunting, but if he never takes to hunting he still has a place next to me in the pickup, thanks for all the replys guys and keep 'em comein, i enjoy learning and reading stories

Re: Blue Heelers
I have often wondered the same thing about heelers working on a ranch and being around cattle dogs all my life I have contimplated trying my heeler at hunting the only issue I have seen with heelers over the years from my experience they are very gritty and also seem to be aggressive with other dogs I also see how they are with cattle and wonder how they would be on big game if they were in on a bad bay up if they treet a bear or lion like they do cattle mite not last long also I would be hesitant to throw mine in the box with my hounds fearing that my heelers aggressive attitude they hounds mite stretch him out in the box but that's just my experience with heelers super smart but maybe to gritty for theire own good but as far as hunting them goes I have no clue what so ever like to hear how it works out for you! Happy hunting
