This is all interesting, thanks. Would be nice if you would all post a couple pictures of dogs that you are running now and if possible dogs, back several generations. Just curious. Thanks,
Terry

Terry, I will try to scan some old pic's of Buddog and his litter mates and get them on here. I have always considered these dogs a cur, because of the sheppard Loyd Bassey bred in them years ago. But, I am just a hay seed. John.

Jc, I am interested in the background/bloodline on Lolo. Would just like to know a little more about what I'm hunting, any info would be great. She sure has been a great dog for me.
Thank you, Allan.

John according to Willis JC & Painter were registered treeing walkers sired by Buckwheat a bear dog belonging to Mac Napier & the dam was one of Willis/s registered treeing walkers. According to Lloyd, Rowdy/s dam was a black tan & walker cross hound owned by Jimmy Gardner. As best Lloyd could tell she was bred by JC or Painter when all three was hunted to gather. This is the best information I could find when I attempted to trace the lineage on Rowdy. But never the less Rowdy caught game and sired a few litters that several local hunters liked. Rowdy had bluetick hidden some place he never threw a litter without a couple blueticks in the litter. Al

The cur that was bred into them was Rene sears . He had a dog that was red headed but was built like a husky border collie . If i remember correctly. Alan , lolo is out of my brutis male. she is 3/8 the old blood 1/8 a walker female named easy. and half bluetick. She started super easy and was a natural locateing tree dog. She would be good to cross back into the old blood , or a running dog. I wouldnt of sold her if i wasnt broke at the time. The bluetick came from montana. not sure but i think cameran.

Hello all, I have hunted cats fairly heavily up here in B.C for about 15 years and have mainly used plotts to catch most of our cats over the years and have had plenty of success. I have also ran with a lot of walkers which had no real problem. Although the best cats dogs I have seen for running cold cats would have to be the majestics. I have seen these dogs run a 3 day old track almost as if there running it solely on sight. Cool forum though. A nice eye opener to broadin my horizon on other breeds.
