trapline dog question

Could have used one today when a wolf pulled a 1/4 inch quicklink apart and took off with my Brawn # 9. I trailed it as far as I could before loosing it. A dog would have made short work of that.

That one of the reason for them also this might be little out there but I saw a few say one of the reasons they like a dog for was to make the kill on a animal now I can see one or two times were that might be a way you would want to go but doesn't that hurt the furs if it something anyone would care to answer just p.m if you don't want it in the open
