Realistically I would go with the guys that started me hound hunting, 2 of the best guys and its always fun and we all run our dogs and train them along the way. Let new dogs start a track each time, different dogs rigged up on time (not always different), let all the dogs run on bear. Just always is pretty fun when we're running one. Good times

Out of the "famous" people, I would have to say Warner Glenn. I just like his style.

Speaking of famous people, and that best lionhunter post you had going Mike, I heard a guy say that Bruce Nay was probably one of the better lion hunters following hounds these days. That guy was kinda put out that no one had mentioned Nay's name so there it is........................

But personally I'd rather spend time with someone who has never seen the hounds run, cause they have so much to see, learn and witness their questions and responses are usually fun to hear!

I would want to hunt with someone that I got along with and that got along with me.
Jessica would be fine! Warner Glenn, Terrell Shelly and Mike and Shorty and the Wonderfull Clay's are my type of people. I have never met Warner or Mr. Shelly but in watching Warriors of El Gato was very impressed with their knowledge and personality.
Can't leave out Liontracker and the Z babes! Personal joke! LOL

I live near Cadillac and have never heard of him. Small world I guess.
My fantasy hunt would be with Dale Lee in Mexico on a Jaguar hunt. The thought of it just gets me all kinds of excited!! LOL! Other than that I have made lots of friends across the country I would like to hunt with again for a week. I was hoping to bump into Ike in Utah when I come out on the all blue hunt but I haven't been able to make it the last couple years.

I think it would be pretty darn enjoyable to hunt a week with Van and Chaser, although the scenery might be better with Warner Glen and his daughter. :D

I could get by hunting with any of those old timers who had good dogs for years without all our modern gizmos.

One of the overlooked aspects of hunting is some of the company a guy gets to keep. I've had some miserable wrecked hunts that I had a blast on because the people who shared the misery were just fun to be around. I've also hunted with people that everything went right with and it was still liked somebody crapped in their omelet. I'll take the former any day.

Ike,

You mentioned Bruce Nay ( Better known as Strawberry) he is a heck of a hunter and old Hal will tell you that for sure. Bruce's Dad George Nay of Moab was a super good hunter. He hunted for the State and was a very humble man but knew his business.

I wouldn't mind spending a week down south seeing to whole dry ground thing. Maybe tag along with Mike but he's into Walkers  so I would probably head to California and hunt with Randy Oller and see what those Leopard Curs are all about.

whoflungdung,

Make no mistake I am not into walkers. I have some walkers that are Nance bred that I like and are doing a good job on bare ground. If they were runners instead of walkers and did the same thing and were black or blue or white and red like some of my dogs I would like them as well. LOL!

I bet that old leopard Gray Fox might even like these walkers if we could color them with a leopard paint.LOL!

But on the other hand I am afraid to try those leopard hounds Randy has. I am afraid I would like them, and then I would just have to build more kennels and scoop more poop. LOL!

Hey WhoFlungDung,

I once spent a week hunting with the Gray Fox and it was a good time amigo!!

He had me stuffed so full of Bear Claws I could hardly walk and I about foundered on the sweets in that truck!!

He's mighty good company and he's got the nicest dog box I ever laid eyes on. I'm still coveting that beauty!! ;)

I met up with him in Arizona and on the trip in he had some Radiator problems on his truck and was overheating. That's a long old trip across Arizona in July if the air conditioner and coolant system ain't working right.

Randy is as nice as they come. I've ridden in his truck, he's sat at my kitchen table and he is ALWAYS welcome at my house. A nicer dog man I never met!!

So good choice amigo, but I hope you got a sweet tooth because he buys those Bear Claws in bulk.
