Thanks- she's a little killer! She's mixed up breeding. The bitch is a smaller hound, b&t with some bluetick in there. The sire is a regular sized hound- redtick I think. Bucknaze could correct me if I'm wrong.
She's just little, which is just fine with me. She's as loud as any dog in the pack and will get right in there and hunt. She moves well and does just fine for speed. I sure like her.

a freind of mine use to have one of those stephens curs and she was only 32 pounds. she was the best dog i have ever seen. that old saying is right "dynamite comes in small packages". i do not care how big or small the dog is, as long as it get the job done. have a good one.

Smaller hounds typically don't get brush whipped as bad around here and can stay out of the way of a mean bear, but either could be fast just depends on the dog. The fastest dog I ever owned was one of the biggest and the second fastest dog was one of the smallest. It's more about tight feet, straight legs, big lungs, tight waist and a lot of drive.

A small dog can take a smack just as good as a big dog. My cousin has a 30-35 pound plott/walker cross. He basically got thrown down a mountain by a bear and he came up pullin fur. Tell me they won't take a hit. And like they said earlier, easier on the wallet to feed em
If they don't bay, they don't stay

Catch em and stretch em, tree em and free em
