The truth was I didn't post that photo of the lion the hunter and I released because I didn't want a set of local ears running it down and killing it.

Holly smokes, folks can "hear" that you tree a lion and go there and kill it via an internet pic What a silly fella I've been, looking for tracks in dirt, mud 'n' snow, rigging dogs till their all droop eyed and tired

All I had to do was "listen" to the pictures on this goofy box and "see" which critters I wanted and 'go git 'em.

Was gonna post a picture of a huge buck taken with my new fangled camtrakker.....but if someone can "hear" that its out there and just go track it down come November ... then dang, I better NOT

Wow dont know about anyone else but to me this seems ya'll are bunch of jackasses that cant get over somethin. I dont know any of you personally but to me it seems like a guy made an unclear statement and the rest of you decided your day was shity and decided to low blow someone else. This is all my fault and I apologize and take full responsibility. I had no idea by asking a simple question "Did you catch the lion?" ... it was going to cause three pages of this.

I guess I just assumed I would get a simple "Ya, caught the lion" or a "Not this time, dogs did good but just wasn't our day"... Or even a more simple yes or no.

Sorry to cause all this trouble by asking a simple question, I'll try to be more careful and not ask such pointed questions.

But in the end, after sorting through all this stuff, I think I did figure out one thing: "Away they went and that was that" is the polar opposite of "caught a lion today"...


That's OK, nobody catches 'em all and nobody knows that better than me. All I've done the past few weeks is a whole lot of "away they went and that was that" in the pouring rain.

Tomorrow is the day Dennis, go get after it and one will climb!

And just remember the words of Bill Clinton "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman!" (When we all know what he should have said is "Away we went and that was that!") Have a good one!

Bullshit! Each and every word is bullshit! You went out of your way to make me look like a liar, and did it in my opinion to make others believe that is all that I am. And you've done it for years Brent. And your sorry doesn't mean anything, as you took another poke in the same post. If you truly wanted to get along you won't call a man a liar, period!

If I don't post a photo then in your mind I didn't catch it, and then that photo also has to have the game, my dogs and myself in it with the date stamped on it or I'm still a liar in your books. And all this comes from a guy that hasn't posted one single photo on this board, or ever shared a serious story. Who cares Brent? Great reply. I agree 100%, remember always, you will become like the people you associate yourself with. All I can say is, I dont know Ike have never meet the man, but have seen a lot of photos and footage of him and his dogs with game in the tree, so he must be doing something right. A man cant screw up sucess that much. Congrats Ike and maybee someday our paths will cross.

Dennis, you take great photos and you tell great stories, so keep it up. The whole site, no wait, the entire planet by now knows you are totally full of sh*t but it's not like you got a corner on that market. It's a trait many hound guys possess.

But you tell good stories, you got lots of good photos and like Dean said, you are entertaining so keep it up!! I just have to drop in now and then and check up on you but I hope you keep the stories and photos coming!!

Ike, I'd like to reply but I honestly don't want you to think I'm trying to piss you off, because I'm not. Maybe no one has told you straight up. Maybe it's just your style of writing. But to be perfectly honest... When you post a 'story' on these boards, to most of us, it comes across as mostly BS. You try to make it sound like everything you do is, well, perfect. None of us are perfect. None of our dogs are perfect. I personally believe you would like everyone to think that you are the greatest houndsmen that ever lived. Your not, I'm not, and no one on these boards will ever be the greatest. You reply to your own posts more then everyone else put together trying to keep them on top, it comes across like you are trying to impress everyone. Unfortunatly ,it just comes across to some of us that you sound a bit arrogent. A lot of the digging you get is caused by yourself. In almost every one of your posts, you try to make it sound like you are perfect. I don't know if you are or not, I'm just saying sometimes you come across sounding that way.
I'll give you a bit of advise. I don't suspect you'll take it, instead you'll probably try to blast back at me, but thats OK, it's expected.

Instead of trying to make everyone believe how great you are, just share your stories like everyone else on here. Help those that need help when you feel your experience can help them. Post your photos, you are a very good photographer. I know because I suck at it. Everyone enjoys a good photo.
