I wasn't cussin the idea, was just curious. I always have extra left over when I worm my horses and now I know a good place to use it.

I usually have 8-10 dogs here year round. I worm each dog monthly with 1cc of Ivermectin, then three times a year (spring, summer, and fall) with Valbrazen. The Valbrazen I give 1cc to 10lbs for three consecutive days. Works good and catches most worms at an afforable price.

I also feed diamond high energy, 20.99 for 50# at tractor supply in Redding, ca..
as far as worming I use happy jack liqui-vict 2x every 3 months, and .15 cc. ivermec 1%
cattle inject, given orally 1 a month for a 45-55 # dog.
I don't know the exact portions for the ivermec to # of dog ratio, I just go by what my vet say for the dogs I have.
I have been told to mix it with broth or juice though because the ivermec does cause some throught irritation if given straight.

I think dog food can be scrutinized to the point that it stops becoming dog food... I mean really should we just start setting a place for the hounds at our table. Use common sense and watch your dogs. Note how much they crap, the condition their hair, how well they maintain weight... ect. I feed Hi Standard 26/18 it works for my dogs and is simply the best for the money. Its not the cheapest or the highest quality either. But it gives good results and price is fair too $22-28 / 50lb bag depending how and where you buy it.
