I have a friend that hunted a barely year old Mike kemp dog last year on coastal bobcats and rigging lions for a study and he said the dog was a prodigy. It was fast enough to catch three hard coast running shortails on the groung before he was 18 months. I believe him cause the guy hunted all the hair off of one of my young prospects and he was to hot nosed to make a differenc in many of those races.

My story is a little different. I got a male pup from mike, for about a year I have had a good run of bad luck. Any thing that could go wrong did. I have made lots of mistakes ran the kemp dog with worthless dogs that should have been culled & are now. I called Mike sevral times too ask him some questions he always had time too answer them. Gave me lots of advise, never was a prick or hard headed about my problems. I had a good friend "poundhound" run him with his good pack of hounds and said he did awesome (that was good too here). What Im saying is my Kemp dog did not solve all my problems or walk on water, but he is a good start on a good pack some day & Mike has always stood behind the dog or was willing to look a another dog for me. Im happy with my Kemp dog, but more important Im happy with how Mike does buiness, he has been very helpful. If more Breeders and houndsmen were this way I feel our sport would be better off.
